Two words placed together, both meaning something special, but the event usually happens in reverse... you receive or give and are offered the thanks... this celebration is the reverse of the words. We give thanks for the bounty we have received and give the blessing of thanks to all who are present.
THANKSgiving started by our fore-fathers, sustained by our generation and given to the future in humble thanks.
